Rodeo

We went to the rodeo last week and had the BEST time!  We went with Nanny, Grandpa, Yaya and Heston and had a great evening.  The kids rode a few rides, we watched barrel racing, ate funnel cake, and enjoyed the rodeo.  My farm loving children were so excited to see the horses and longhorn and Ella squealed and laughed so hard when the kids chased the baby calves :)  She talked about the ro-dee-do for days!

Happy Birthday Ella!

We celebrated Ella's 2nd birthday last weekend with her best buddy Liam!  They are only 9 days apart so we decided to celebrate together this year.  We had a candy themed party with a bounce house, balloon man, cupcakes, and more candy than we could say grace over!  It was so much fun to spend time with our families and great friends.  It is hard to believe our baby girl is 2 years old....time flies!

We love you Ella Grace! You are blessing to our family and we are so thankful for you! You add joy and spirit to our lives and we love you big as the sky!

Christmas & New Years

Just wanted to post a few pictures from Christmas and New Years. I am clearly way behind and really going to try to keep up with this better in 2010! Poor Ella doesn't have a scrapbook like Jackson's and this is my only way to keep up with everything and I haven't been doing very well...

Christmas was wonderful! Mom came to be with us and we had a perfect weekend, snow and all! What a surprise to have a white Christmas Eve. We spent the day doing last minute shopping, baking, watching movies, cooking dinner, Christmas Eve service, and looking at Christmas lights. The kids loved having Granny here with us. Christmas morning was full of joy and excitement too! After a nap, we headed to the Irons for Christmas dinner and time with them. It was a great evening!

















We spent New Years Eve with some friends at our house. The kids made their own pizzas and we had a nice dinner. We had a great time and were happy to ring in the New Year with good friends!

Visit with Santa

Santa came to visit at YaYa's house! The kids ate pizza, decorated cookies and waited in their pj's for Santa to arrive. So fun! Jackson, Heston and Jack were beyond excited to see him and Ella and Lawson were not quite as excited. They both screamed when they sat with him and gave us the classic kid on Santa's lap photo. Why do we do this to our children?? I think the adults had as much fun as the kids did. Kids make Christmas time so fun!

Big Russ

We are so sad to say that our sweet lab, Rusty, passed away on Wednesday morning. We found out about a few weeks ago that he had liver disease and he quickly went downhill. We did not expect it to happen so fast, but are thankful that he did not have to suffer for long. We were able to hold him and be with him until the end. We are heart broken and feel like a huge part of our family is missing, but we have such wonderful memories of him. I gave him to Jason in college so he has been with us through many years and many things that we have been through. He will be missed dearly but remembered sweetly. We love you Russ Man!!
