"Ice" at the Gaylord

Yesterday was such a fun day for us! We got up and ate at Mimi's - one of our favorite breakfast spots and then took Jackson to the Gaylord "Ice" exhibit. It was amazing!! They bring in 2 million pounds of ice and carve it to make a winter wonderland. The sculptures were so beautiful and the manger scene was especially breathtaking. It is only 9 degrees in there so they give you these big parkas to wear to keep warm. Jackson looked like a little snowman...the cutest thing! They have an ice slide for kids and adults. Jason and I had fun on it, but Jackson did not want to go down it. See the picture below :) We also went and saw Santa, but Jackson declined the photo op. He did talk to him and told him that he would like some "cool cars." We had such a special and fun day. We wanted to do something special for our last Christmas with just the 3 of us, before we are blessed with #2. I love my little family more than words can say!

As most of you know, I wisely chose to get a tattoo on my big toe when I was younger. Not one of my prouder moments. The other night Jackson looked down at my feet and said, "Oooh Mommy, you got a stamp on your toe!" Nice.

Trains at North Park

Today Carlien and I took the boys to see the Trains at North Park Mall. It was so neat! They have hundreds of trains set up that you walk through with different scenes (Dallas, NYC, skiing, etc.) The boys LOVED it and we had such a fun time. Micah and Jackson love each other so much and always have the best time together...even when they are wrestling and fighting like brothers! Today was a good day, not one spat :) Enjoy the pictures!

Sometimes the truth hurts...

The street that we live off of is a cul-de-sac that goes up an enormous hill. Every time we come home from being out, we have to go up the hill. Jackson loves it! We act like we are not going to make it up the hill...he giggles, we make it up, and then on the way down he puts his arms up in the air and screams, "WEEEEEEE!" as if he is on a roller coaster. Well, last week we went up the hill and as usual, Jason acted like we were not going to make it up and Jackson says, "Oh NO! Mommy's belly is too big!" You've got to love the honesty of a 2 1/2 year old.

Celebrating Baby Irons

This post is a little bit delayed, but last weekend we had such a fun baby shower here at our house. Some of our best friends hosted this dinner for us and we had the best time! It was fun to see friends and to celebrate our little peanut! Thank you all so much for all that you did, it was so very special and meant the world to us!

Happy Birthday Heston!

This past weekend we celebrated our precious nephew's 1st birthday! It is so hard to believe that it has been a year since he came into this world. We are so incredibly blessed by him and thank God for him everyday. He was so cute eating his cake and opening his gifts :) I have included a few of my favorite pictures of him with his cake. On Saturday morning, Jackson woke up early and was laying with us in bed. I was still half asleep and I felt him start rubbing on my belly. He laid his head down and kissed it and whispered, "Mommy, I love my baby." It was precious and such a sweet moment. I can't wait to see him with his brother or sister!
