Happy Thanksgiving!

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We went to Scotty and Cindy's for lunch with Ash, Ya Ya, Heston, Todd and all of the Irons boys. Scotty's brother, Robert, his wife, Cathy, and their 4 boys, David (wife, Jennifer), Joel (wife, Jennifer), Seth (girlfriend, Lexi) and Nathaniel were all there. The boys played football and soccer out in the front yard for a while before it got too cold and all of the girls cooked, talked and had a great visit. As usual, Cindy cooked a fabulous meal and we all ate way too much! After lunch was the Cowboys game and quite a bit of napping :) Jackson tuckered out on Grandpa and took a nice nap in his arms...so sweet.

As I woke up, I sat and thought of all that I am thankful for. I was so overwhelmed by all that I am blessed with and cannot thank God enough for all that He has given me....the most amazing husband that loves me more than I deserve, a beautiful son who brings so much joy to me everyday, his sweet little voice that randomly says, "Mommy, I love you big as the sky!," our little peanut in my tummy, my parents, the Irons, sweet Ashley, Shadie & Heston, all of our extended family, the best friends a girl could ask for, health, our home, Jason's job, I could go on and on. I need to wake up every morning and reflect on all that I have to be thankful for, it made for such a great day. I hope that your Thanksgiving was as blessed as mine was. Love to you all!

I found a naked little indian this afternoon....

Lion has returned home

For those of you who know Jackson and how much he loves his "night nights," you will appreciate this. Lion has been his favortie NN for a long time now. He will take others, but lion is preferred. When we went to Arkansas a few weeks ago, we lost lion. I am not sure who was more devastated, Jackson, or mommy. It is so ridiculous, but I was so upset. Not only did we lose lion, but when we got home I thought to myself, "Well, at least we still have bunny." - second favorite. No. Bunny was nowhere to be found either...double devastated. If you had a NN when you were little, you understand, right? Anyway, one morning Jackson asked me where lion was and I had to break the news that we had lost him. He immediately wanted to know where we lost him and when I told him in AR, he pulled my arm and said, "Come Mommy, we drive to GG's house and get lion." Completely broke my heart. He seemed a bit panicked. What did I do? I got on ebay and began a search for a new lion. Long story short, I ended up in a bidding war with some woman over this lion. For days I constantly checked my ebay and eventually she won.... Thankfully, my sweet husband found another one and lion arrived home last night. I washed it and right before bed we gave it to him. It was precious...he got so happy and smiled so big. He loved on him and was so happy to have his buddy back. Makes a mommy's heart smile. You all probably think I am crazy but you just wait until your sweet baby looks at you with sad eyes and wants to know where lion is. The things we do for our children...

Jackson's First Movie

On Saturday night we took Jackson to see his first movie, Bee Movie. We went to this place called "The Movie Tavern" where you eat dinner while you watch the movie. He was precious...he sat in his little booster chair and ate his pizza and watched the whole thing. It was so big boy! It was a great movie, no bad lanugage, super funny, a must see! Jason and I teared up at one point....silly, I know, but it is just so hard to believe that our baby is so grown up! We had the best evening and I snuck a picture by the billboard.

Pumpkins in the pumpkin patch

On Monday, Shadie, Kolbie and I took the boys to the pumpkin patch for some pictures. Here are my favorites. Heston dressed up in his astronaut costume and was so cute! (Some trick or treater at Shadie's last night informed her that he had to be 37 to be an astronaut) Heston loved the pumpkins and Jack and Jackson were more interested in running around. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed it so much!

Happy Halloween!

Here are a some pictures of our little dragon from Halloween. He was so cute :) I was down with a tummy bug so Jason took him trick or treating with our neighbors and their two girls. They had a great time and got lots of treats!

A trip to Arkansas

We have been very busy the past 2 weeks! Last Wednesday, we (Jackson, Cindy, Shadie, Heston & I) all went up to Arkansas to visit family and have a little girls trip. We stayed with Aunt B and got to visit with GG, GG2, Grandpa Ruall, and lots of other family. We shopped, talked, laughed and had such a nice time so I am including a few pics from our trip. We love to visit and wish that we could do it more often. Jackson and Heston are so funny together...they are beginning to act like brothers...bickering and fighting over toys. Here is my favorite story from the trip: Heston is coming into his own and does not put up with a whole lot from Jackson. He is very vocal and will scream at Jackson when he gets frustrated with him. One afternoon Heston accidentally broke one of J's toys and as you can imagine, J was not happy. He walked over to Heston, got down on the floor on his tummy (eye level with Heston) and said, "Heston, what you do to my Snoopy?" He was so serious and wanted to understand and for Heston to tell him why he did that. Heston looked at him, screamed and smacked him on the head with a toy as if saying, "I'll show you what I did, and I'll do it again!" So funny....we laughed about it all week! They are so precious to me and I am so thankful that they are so close and get to spend so much time together. I love my boys!
