Fabulous weekend with fabulous friends!

This past weekend was absolutely wonderful for us! Our very good friends, Nathan & Lindsay, and Rhett & LeeAnn came to spend the weekend with us. Jason and Nathan have been friends since kindergarten, and Rhett joined them in high school. They are all such great friends, and we are so blessed that Lindsay, LeeAnn and I all get along so well. It does not matter how much time goes by, when we see each other it is like there has been no time. When we get together, it is full of laughter, stories, and occasionally a rendition of the Ditto Rangers school song (unfortunately this did not happen this weekend, although Jason did break out the Martin Warriors basketball jersey on Friday). On Friday we just cooked dinner here and sat around and talked and caught up. Saturday, the guys played golf and the girls went to downtown Grapevine and ate lunch at a cozy little place and then walked around Main Street. Next, we were on to get pedicures. Back up to Friday night...we were talking about us girls getting our toes done and one of the guys piped up and said that they would not mind having a pedicure sometime...well, they all agreed (really?? I have tried for years to get J to go with me and it was never an option!) so we told them that they would be going with us. I don't think that they really thought that we would all go, but we did. We pretty much had to drag them kicking and screaming, but they went. It was hilarious...and the best part was that they ended up reading gossip magazines! They were all really good sports in the end and we had such a fun time. I love the picture of J's foot...note...it is bigger than that poor girl's arm! Saturday night we went to Joe T. Garcia's for some margaritas and mexican food on their fabulous patio. We were joined by our other good friends, Jared and Lindsey. After dinner we went downtown for a little while and then back home for a guys poker game and girls gab fest. Sunday morning J cooked for us and then we all said our goodbyes until the next reunion. What a blessing these sweet friends are to us and we know that we will be close for many years!
